Strategic by design, our approach fosters great innovation with doing good at the core of every project. Whether we’re tackling a complex challenge or bringing a bold idea to life, we partner with you to truly understand your vision, challenges and goals. What is your biggest achievement as an organisation?

In March 2024, Zudu won a CivTech Innovation and Tech Accelerator contract to develop a technology solution for licensing tobacco products. This marked a major milestone for us, showcasing our ability to deliver impactful, user-focused digital solutions with the Scottish Government. Since securing the CivTech win, we’ve seen significant growth particularly with our bespoke product, ePass. Over the past year, we’ve gone on to win two further Scottish Government projects plus the opening of a new office in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre and employing 10 new staff across Scotland. This achievement has been a catalyst for growth, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for ePass and Zudu.

What prompted you to become a member of ScotlandIS?

Staying at the forefront of innovation is key for us as we contribute to the future of the digital economy here in Scotland. What do you see as the main challenges for the tech industry in the UK and Scotland?

Economic uncertainty and global competition can make it harder for companies to scale confidently in Scotland, alongside the digital skills gap particularly in high-growth areas like cybersecurity, AI, data science and software development. While there’s incredible talent here, demand continues to outpace supply making it more challenging for businesses to grow, innovate and stay competitive on a global scale. A strong ecosystem like ScotlandIS is so important in in empowering Scottish businesses through meaningful collaboration, strategic advocacy and the sharing of knowledge across the tech community. Not to mention, championing the interests of the industry to ensure that Scotland’s digital economy continues to grow in the right direction.
